Westfield Mall Digital Storefront
A new way for people to shop; designing shoppable digital windows.
The Westfield Mall digital storefront project was a series of three giant touchscreen windows installed at the Westfield Mall during the 2013 Holiday Season.
Westfield mall commissioned eBay labs and R/GA SF to come up with a new way for users to shop in San Francisco.
The digital windows enabled shoppers of Sony, Toms Shoes and Rebecca Minkoff to select and buy from a unique set of curated products. Users completed the checkout process by pushing the order from the digital storefront to their mobile device.
As the Lead Interaction Designer on this project, I worked with our cross-disciplinary team of designers and technologists and designed an innovative connected shopping experience that leveraged Microsoft Kinect technology and enabled users to easily engage, interact and complete purchase cycles successfully.
